About

Built by a racer,
for the community.

Hey, I'm Ryan Stephens. My son Ezra and I picked up RC at the start of 2026, out of the HobbyTown Hobbyplex here in Omaha — an indoor dirt and carpet track that is, no exaggeration, one of the best in the country.

We're still pretty new and are loving every second we get at the track. But trying to get my hands on a used car was such a pain and I really don't enjoy having to join half a dozen Facebook groups, refreshing them constantly. Not only that but there's no way to filter/sort based on what you're looking for so you just have to get lucky that you're in the right place and time. There's got to be a better way than that.

I'm a software engineer in my day job, so I built the thing I wanted. Every listing here carries the real RC fields that we care about; scale, drivetrain, surface type, motor, ESC, battery — all as typed data, not free-form titles. Meaning we can filter and search results now, even save a search and get pinged when something matches. Saving us all so much time.

It's free to list and free to buy. No selling fees, no premium tier, no boosts. I'm not making any money on it...honestly, it costs me a bit to keep running, and I'm fine with that. If the site ever needs revenue down the road it'll come from sponsors or ads, never from users. The hobby's been good to us; this is what I can give back.

RC Paddock hosts the listing and the chat. It doesn't hold payments, mediate disputes, or insure transactions. Buyer and seller arrange payment and shipping themselves, I'm not going to be managing any of that. The Terms have all of the info you need.

If you find a bug, have an idea, or just want to tell me what you're running, email support@rc-paddock.com. I read every message. And if you spot Ezra and me at the Hobbyplex, come say hello.
