Acceptable Use Policy

Effective May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses rc-paddock.com (the "Service"). It supplements the Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

1. Prohibited listings

You may not list, offer, or solicit any of the following:

  • Stolen goods or items you do not own or have the right to sell.
  • Counterfeit or replica products that infringe a trademark, brand, or design.
  • Recalled items or items that fail to meet US Consumer Product Safety Commission standards.
  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or hazardous materials. Standard RC-hobby LiPo, NiMH, and other batteries are permitted when shipped in compliance with carrier rules.
  • Items modified for illegal use (e.g., RC platforms modified to carry weapons or to evade law-enforcement aircraft).
  • Drugs, drug paraphernalia, or controlled substances.
  • Pornography, sexually explicit content, or content involving minors in a sexual context.
  • Anything illegal to sell in the State of Nebraska, USA or in the buyer's jurisdiction.

2. Listing integrity

You must:

  • Describe items accurately, including condition, modifications, defects, and missing parts.
  • Use your own photos that show the actual item being sold. Stock photos are permitted only for unopened, new-in-box items.
  • State an honest price. Bait-and-switch pricing, hidden fees, or off-platform price negotiation that contradicts the listed price is prohibited.
  • Not artificially inflate views, watch counts, or seller statistics.
  • Not list the same item multiple times to flood search results.

3. Conduct toward other Users

You may not:

  • Harass, threaten, dox, or stalk other Users.
  • Post content that is hateful or discriminatory toward an individual or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
  • Post personal information about a third party (phone, home address, employer, family members) without their consent.
  • Use the messaging system to spam, solicit unrelated business, or run schemes (e.g., fake escrow offers, advance-fee scams, phishing for payment credentials).
  • Attempt to move a transaction off-platform in order to evade dispute resolution, reviews, or anti-fraud controls.

4. Payment and shipping integrity

  • Sellers must ship within the stated timeframe and provide valid tracking from a supported carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL).
  • Buyers must pay within the stated timeframe using the method agreed at offer acceptance.
  • Falsifying tracking numbers, claiming non-receipt of a delivered item, or initiating a payment chargeback in bad faith are violations.
  • Choose payment and shipping methods you trust. RC Paddock does not custody funds, mediate disputes, or guarantee outcomes — both parties are responsible for vetting each other.

5. Reviews and reputation

  • Reviews must reflect a real, completed transaction.
  • Do not offer or accept incentives in exchange for reviews.
  • Do not use reviews to threaten, retaliate, or coerce the other party.
  • Do not create secondary accounts to leave reviews for yourself.

6. Content uploads

  • You must own or have permission to use any photos you upload.
  • Do not upload photos that show identifying information about uninvolved third parties (faces of bystanders, license plates, mail with names/addresses) — crop or redact before upload.
  • EXIF data (including GPS) is stripped automatically, but you are still responsible for what is visible in the image itself.
  • Do not upload malicious files or attempt to embed code/scripts in uploads.

7. Security and platform integrity

You may not:

  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written permission. Responsible-disclosure reports are welcome at support@rc-paddock.com.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load, except for well-behaved indexers obeying our robots directives.
  • Bypass rate limits, two-factor enforcement, or other access controls.
  • Interfere with another User's use of the Service.

8. Reporting

If you see content or behavior that violates this AUP, use the in-app "Report" button on the relevant listing, comment, review, or user profile, or email support@rc-paddock.com. To report a copyright violation, see our DMCA Policy. To report a stolen item, contact law enforcement first, then email support@rc-paddock.com with the case/report number so we can remove the listing and the seller's related listings pending investigation.

9. Enforcement

We may, at our discretion: remove content; require edits before re-publishing; restrict listing creation; require two-factor authentication; suspend an account; or permanently ban an account. We log moderation actions in an internal audit log. Banned users may appeal by emailing support@rc-paddock.com.

10. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification or email at least seven (7) days before they take effect.
