Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This policy covers the “RC Paddock → Facebook” browser extension (the “Extension”), published by RC Paddock ("we", "us", "our"). It is separate from, and in addition to, our main Privacy Policy for rc-paddock.com.

1. What the Extension does

The Extension takes a listing you already created on rc-paddock.com and pre-fills Facebook's "Item for sale" composer with it (title, price, condition, category, description, and photos) so you don't have to re-type it. You review the result, choose the audience, and publish. The Extension never submits a post for you and never lists anything automatically.

2. Information the Extension accesses

• Your RC Paddock listing data — fetched from our public API (api.rc-paddock.com) for the listing you choose to send, plus its photos from media.rc-paddock.com. This is data you already published on rc-paddock.com.
• Your signed-in Facebook session — the Extension reads the Facebook page you are on to find the composer fields and fill them. It runs in your own browser, using your own active Facebook login. It does not read, store, or transmit your Facebook username, password, or any login credentials.
• Listing ownership check — on a listing page the Extension asks our API whether you own that listing (so the "Send to Facebook" button only appears on your own listings). This uses your existing rc-paddock.com session cookie.

3. Information the Extension stores

Everything is stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to us beyond the listing fetch above.

• The listing payload (the data to fill into Facebook) is held in your browser's session storage and is cleared when you close the browser, dismiss it, or send a different listing.
• Your settings (which Facebook composer to open) are stored in your browser's sync storage so they follow your Chrome profile.

4. What the Extension does NOT do

• It does not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to RC Paddock or anyone else.
• It does not access your Facebook credentials, messages, friends, or any Facebook data beyond the listing-composer fields it fills.
• It contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising code.
• It does not sell or share any data.
• It does not post, submit, or publish anything on its own — every post is reviewed and published by you.
• It does no server-side, headless, or automated posting.

5. Permissions

• Host access to rc-paddock.com, api.rc-paddock.com, media.rc-paddock.com — to show the "Send to Facebook" button on your listings and fetch the listing data and photos.
• Host access to facebook.com — to fill the "Item for sale" composer fields in your browser.
• Storage — to hold the listing payload and your settings locally, as described above.

6. Changes

We may update this policy as the Extension changes. The effective date above reflects the current version.
